Our mission

Free Government Information (FGI) is a place for initiating dialogue and building consensus among the various players (libraries, government agencies, non-profit organizations, researchers, journalists, etc.) who have a stake in the preservation of and perpetual free access to government information. FGI promotes free government information through collaboration, education, advocacy and research.

(VA) peer assistance for economics assignments

The student assistant who for 2 1/2 years helped me process government documents began to help her classmates with econ homework assignments by referring them to government publications such as Economic Indicators and the Economic Report of the President. Sometimes it is easier for the students to accept assistance from a peer; it was great to see her use what she had learned in our department.
