Our mission

Free Government Information (FGI) is a place for initiating dialogue and building consensus among the various players (libraries, government agencies, non-profit organizations, researchers, journalists, etc.) who have a stake in the preservation of and perpetual free access to government information. FGI promotes free government information through collaboration, education, advocacy and research.

A very brief note to let you know that the first issue of FDLP Connection is now available on FDLP.gov

Vol. 1 No. 1 contains three columns, three feature articles, and much more.

The Raymond H. Fogler Library at the University of Maine at Orono is the
Library Spotlight of the Month.

Mansfield Library at the University of Montana is featured as the partnership showcase.
