Our mission

Free Government Information (FGI) is a place for initiating dialogue and building consensus among the various players (libraries, government agencies, non-profit organizations, researchers, journalists, etc.) who have a stake in the preservation of and perpetual free access to government information. FGI promotes free government information through collaboration, education, advocacy and research.

1438 AM seems like we’re missing opportunities to link services. There need to be next steps to put everything in one place
KaS we’re trying to make the Desktop that place for the FDLP community. Browse topics and the Desktop are running on the same program, and might be integrated
