Our mission

Free Government Information (FGI) is a place for initiating dialogue and building consensus among the various players (libraries, government agencies, non-profit organizations, researchers, journalists, etc.) who have a stake in the preservation of and perpetual free access to government information. FGI promotes free government information through collaboration, education, advocacy and research.

Susan’s bio

Susan J. Golding, blogger-of-the-month for March, 2006, got her MSLIS from Long Island University in 2002. She has been the Government Documents and Maps Librarian at Temple University’s Paley Library since September 2004. Her hobbies are obsessing, worrying and boring people with long-winded anecdotes about her job. She is thrilled to have this opportunity to expand her audience.
