Free Government Information (FGI) is a place for initiating dialogue and building consensus among the various players (libraries, government agencies, non-profit organizations, researchers, journalists, etc.) who have a stake in the preservation of and perpetual free access to government information. FGI promotes free government information through collaboration, education, advocacy and research.

Recently we’ve had a FGI user or two ask us to collect my “Nonlawyer’s journey through Title 44” posting in one place.

I’ve appreciated hearing from those of you who have found this series helpful so far. I’m also interested in ideas for improvements. Whether or not it falls under your idea of improvements, I will try to make more frequent postings, at least once a week and hopefully twice a week until I’m done with what I consider to be the major provisions of Title 44.
