Our mission

Free Government Information (FGI) is a place for initiating dialogue and building consensus among the various players (libraries, government agencies, non-profit organizations, researchers, journalists, etc.) who have a stake in the preservation of and perpetual free access to government information. FGI promotes free government information through collaboration, education, advocacy and research.

CQ Researcher examines government secrecy

Those people in libraries lucky enough to own CQ Researcher should check out the Vol. 15 Issue 42, December 2, 2005 issue on government secrecy.

Issue includes a bibliography and items on selective disclosure of classified information, as well as a look at federal whistleblowing.
