Our mission

Free Government Information (FGI) is a place for initiating dialogue and building consensus among the various players (libraries, government agencies, non-profit organizations, researchers, journalists, etc.) who have a stake in the preservation of and perpetual free access to government information. FGI promotes free government information through collaboration, education, advocacy and research.

Summer at FGI

We haven’t been posting a lot here on FGI this summer, but it is not for lack of news. Most of us at FGI have just been on the road a lot: going to ALA, doing projects, and visiting family. As we start settling back in we’ll start posting more frequently again and catching up with developments in government information.
