A few days ago, data.gov announced the soft launch (unfortunately on LinkedIn, NOT on their own site, nor as an official press release 😐 ) of a new beta catalog frontend, and more significantly have a new in-house data aggregation process which exposes their harvesting process.
The system provides visibility into how agency datasets are ingested, validated, and monitored.
You can view their structure:
- Harvests are organized by organization/agency
- Each dataset has a configuration page
- Each dataset has its harvest history
- Metrics dashboard
