Our mission

Free Government Information (FGI) is a place for initiating dialogue and building consensus among the various players (libraries, government agencies, non-profit organizations, researchers, journalists, etc.) who have a stake in the preservation of and perpetual free access to government information. FGI promotes free government information through collaboration, education, advocacy and research.

Thanks to Herrick Heitman of the Washington State Library, we now have a summary of what sounds like an excellent session on Disaster Recovery for Depositories.

With Herrick’s contribution, there are only four sessions for which we have NO Summaries. Be the first attendee on your block to provide summaries for the following sessions:

Sunday – Depository Library 101
Monday – Regionals Meeting
Tuesday – FDLP Myths & Monsters
Wednesday – New Depository Manual

We actually only have three “contentless” session because we are pleased to offer access to Janet Scheitle’s slides for Wednesday’s New Depository Manual session.
