Free Government Information (FGI) is a place for initiating dialogue and building consensus among the various players (libraries, government agencies, non-profit organizations, researchers, journalists, etc.) who have a stake in the preservation of and perpetual free access to government information. FGI promotes free government information through collaboration, education, advocacy and research.

This sculpture at CIA headquarters is unsolved after 30 years

Here’s a fun story for a saturday. Sculptor Jim Sanborn was commissioned in 1990 to create a sculpture at CIA headquarters. The sculpture, Kryptos, has 4 cryptographic challenge puzzles embedded in it. While 3 of them have been solved, the 4th has yet to be figured out.
