This week’s State Agency Databases Project subject highlight is Transportation, featuring 36 states that project volunteers know to have publicly searchable databases in this subject area. Three examples from this compilation are:
Seat Belt Enforcement Reporting Site – Statistics on current seatbelt use, violations, and fatalities. Customizable by type, date, and location.
Ohio Crash Report – Crash reports on this site are not official documents. They were submitted to the Ohio Department of Public Safety for statistical purposes only. These reports are to be used for statistical use only and are not sufficient to be used in any court proceeding.
Virginia Transportation Marketing Research Database – Contains marketing research studies conducted by various transportation agencies on topics such as HOV lanes, carpooling, telework, and more. Searchable by subject, region, keyword, and year; a complete listing of all studies is also available.
For more, see http://godort.libguides.com/transportationdbs. If you know of state agency produced databases in the this area, either comment here or use the “Email me” link on the guide to report a database, which will be forwarded to the appropriate project volunteer.
