USA Trade Online now FREE to all
The Census Bureau announced that, on October 15, 2015, “access to USA Trade Online will be FREE to all customers. This transition will be transparent to current users and new users can sign up for free to access data for international trade.” The instructions for depository libraries say that depositories “will no longer have IP access to UTO.”
USA Trade Online provides access to current and cumulative U.S. export and import data from multiple data sets. You can create custom reports and charts detailing international trade data at different levels. All data are updated each month with the release of the latest U.S. International Trade in Goods and Services Report.

“If you already subscribe to the service through the FDLP, you will not need to take any action to continue service as a free account. Your account information will automatically be transitioned to the new FREE account system.”
New Data Tool for Trade and Investment Stats for Countries
The Department of Commerce announced a new data tool–International Trade and Investment Country Facts Application–on the Bureau of Economic Analysis website that gives users a snapshot of statistics on trade and investment between the United States and another country by simply clicking on a world map.
