Our mission

Free Government Information (FGI) is a place for initiating dialogue and building consensus among the various players (libraries, government agencies, non-profit organizations, researchers, journalists, etc.) who have a stake in the preservation of and perpetual free access to government information. FGI promotes free government information through collaboration, education, advocacy and research.

Michele McGinnis, FGI’s guest blogger for February

We’re trying out something new here at FGI. We’ve asked Michele McGinnis to be a guest blogger for the month of February (see Michele’s bio for more on her background and connection to government information). That doesn’t mean that other FGI volunteers won’t be blogging as well, but Michele’s posts will reside in the center column (as well as at the right and in the RSS feed!) Please let us know what you think — and by all means contact us if you’d like to be considered as a guest blogger in the future!

Welcome, Michele.
