Welcome Barrett Jones, Blogger of the Month for October, 2007

Hi all. I'd like to introduce our October blogger-of-the-month, Barrett Jones. Barrett comes to us by way of the IMF Library in Washington DC. Take it away Barrett!

And thanks also to Cass Hartnett, our BOTM for September. Cass definitely put a human and public interest spin on her posts and showed how government information affects our everyday lives. Thanks so much Cass!!

Thank you, FGI

Barrett Jones sounds great!  We need more rock musicians from IGO's on this list!

I appreciated the chance to blog for the first time, and I can't think of a better place to have started than FGI.  I only regret that my output wasn't greater ... a paltry 5 entries, when I had about a dozen more percolating in my brain.  I need to learn to be briefer and looser in my posts -- no need to write an opus!

This FGI blog is a gift to the gov info community, and the folks who founded it are visionaries.  The mental image I now have of the Bookmobilistas making their way through California ... that is such a great image of how nimble and creative (and risk-taking!) we're all going to need to be ... starting about now ...

It was our pleasure!

Hi Cass,

it's us who should be thanking YOU for being our BOTM for September. Your posts added a human thread to the FGI tapestry and for that we are most appreciative! As you may or may not know, all BOTMs have honorary posting privileges as FGI alums, so I hope you'll continue to add to the discussion when the mood strikes you.

And you FGI readers, if you'd like to be a guest blogger on FGI, please email us at admin AT freegovinfo DOT info.

Thanks again Cass!!
